This unit does a good job of producing good texture after additional freezing others I've used the texture after the additional time was too hard or full of crystals. Eventually the machine stops due to the freeze up. All of them have tasted great and the consistency has been sometimes better than what we've had at expensive restaurants! One word of caution if you add ingredients to the machine that are too cold, the sides start to immediately freeze up and the mixing paddle then has trouble turning. So far I've made strawberry sorbet, old fashioned orange ice cream, and chocolate malt ice cream. It doesn't make huge quantities, but the recipes have been very good and I've been very happy with its' performance. So far I've been very pleased with this ice cream maker. This machine is real easy to use I just mix up my ice cream mix (I use the mixes that can be bought in a store any of these can be used as long as it doesn't make more than 1 1/2 quarts) then I pour the mix into the machine and in about 20 minutes I have a perfect soft serve ice cream my 4 year old son likes to drink it as a milk shake.ġ4 of 14 people found the following review helpful.
